Children's Popular Culture
CALL FOR PAPERS
The 2009 Popular Culture Association Conference will be held at the New Orleans Marriot, April 8 – April 11. The Children's Culture Area invites presentations on any aspect of children's popular culture: material culture, media, games, advertising, literature, etc.
PCA encourages interdisciplinary approaches to popular culture in its presentations, which should be 15-20 minutes long. The deadline for submissions of a paper or a 200 word abstract is November 30, 2008. Please include a brief abstract of the paper on the title page.
Please do NOT submit papers to more than one session of PCA/ACA at the same time. Also be sure of having travel funds should your paper be accepted. Do NOT submit a paper unless you feel confident of attending the conference. No shows are noted.
NOTE: If you need any special equipment, please indicate that.
Submit material to Dr. Harry Eiss, English Department, Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, MI 48197; or, even better, to my email address: harryeiss@comcast.net.
