Call for Papers

The Appalachian Studies Area of the PCA/ACA National Conference seeks to further understanding of this unique and interesting location within the United States and welcomes presentations covering a broad area of study.
Possible subject areas include but are not limited to the following:
Literature
Art
Photography
Music
History
Education
Ecology
Film, Television and other Media
Heritage
Culture
Gender
Ethnicity
Native American Cultures
Celtic Influences
Economics
Presentations should be developed for a 15-minute reading. Please submit a 250-word abstract as an email attachment to Dr. Leslie Worthington, lworthington@gsc.edu, by November 30, 2008. Contributors will be notified by email the first week of December. The Association requires that proposals be submitted to only one subject area at a time.
